It is an ironic and funny short film, which leaves the viewer with a smile and with a lot of food for thought. The title chosen fits perfectly to the movie’s theme, because we see the main character getting up from his bed after a night's sleep and going to the bathroom to give himself a cleaned face and brush his teeth, as usual every morning. What he doesn’t expect is that something out of the ordinary will give him an absolutely strange “good morning”: his reflection suddenly acquires an own life, as if there was another person on the other side of the mirror. It’s created a game between nightmares, wakes and fears for those many copies of himself that suddenly become autonomous. What we can read between the lines is the psychological disease of man, perhaps given by the context in which he stands, as we can imagine because of the striped uniform. The attempt to mental escape results with the outward projection of his personality, from which he is both attracted and frightened. I recommend watching this movie because in a few minutes it can both entertain at the same time make us think about personality disorders, as ways of seeing ourselves and the world around us in ways that sometimes aren’t conform to reality.

A short film, realized for Prada, which boasts two outstanding names: the director Wes Anderson, known for masterpieces such as "The Grand Budapest Hotel”, and the actor Jason Schwartzman, as Jack Cavalcanti, a famous pilot ended in a remote Italian village because of a car accident, where he meets strange people that instantly make him feel at home. Despite the different languages spoken, between him and the people a good relationship is immediately established: he feels them as neighbors he had known from a very long time. In fact, as soon as he learns that the name of the locality in which it is located is Castello Cavalcanti, immediately he understands to be back among his ancestors. In full style of Anderson's, this short film takes place in an almost surreal atmosphere, where the choice of colors, lights and characters reveals the authentic signature of the director. The incident, that starts the whole story, occurs in a curious way, almost unbelievable (the racing sports car crashed into a stone statue in the street), and yet it seems to have the power to transfer the man in a remote reality. In fact, there is a great distance between him, son of a chaotic life, and the inhabitants of the castle, that belong to a slow and quiet reality, made of dull habits and familiarity. It’s with great sympathy and irony that this film conquers the viewer and leaves him amazed and amused.

The central protagonist of the entire short is the conflict, both external and internal too. The first one is that is created between the three boys and their teacher, caused by the rejection risk - and thus of separation from the rest of the group – of one of them. The inner conflict is that instead is revealed by words, gestures and reactions of the characters throughout the story. The three boys, in fact, are gone to the beach to spend some time together and have fun, a few days before the end of the school. Here they meet their teacher: the meeting between the four seems tense, full of mutual resentment. The reason for this hostility is not clear, we can only deduce it from the gestures and words that will come later. She shows very upset when she discovers that the kindness of the student is not sincere, but dictated by the need to convince her not to reject the boy. Her reaction is exaggerated, as if that episode was hiding behind a repressed anger, also because of personal reasons. The boys don’t understand the teacher’s reasons and, like real bullies in pursuit of their victim, they begin to tail her, until to cause her to fall and hurt. Since this moment the situation worsened: kidnapping, threats, perhaps death. What happens at the end is not shown or explicitly said: waves of the sea, stormy and agitated, make people understand what really happened. The adolescent anger quickly gives way to remorse and repentance: in

Pleasant, friendly and cheerful, this short film tells in a few minutes the meeting of two strangers, in the middle of night in Rome. During the whole film, a single word isn’t pronounced, because the protagonist is deaf and she cannot hear any sound around her. The background is in fact filled by cheerful and carefree music, such as the night that the two spend together through the streets of the city. Rome looks even more beautiful view from the saddle of a motorcycle, eating a sandwich on the fly and looking at it from the hill at dawn. Although between the two there are no words to describe them, emotions are experienced with looks and smiles anyway. An unexpected complicity’s born between them: although they have just met, they can share those moments with lightheartedness. She is thankful for all the kindness shown by the boy: perhaps she is not used to be treated this way, or to meet people like him. On the other hand, he feels guilty, for almost invested her, and thanks to his protective instincts he decides not to leave her alone all night at the station. At the end of the story, they separate just as they met, each in his own way, keeping in their hearts the memory of that night, improvised adventure. I enjoyed the story as it’s told, trying to identify myself

Matteo is nine years old, he is an introverted child who tries to hide from the world through a mask, the symbol of his wrestling hero, "The Tiger". That mask, sewn by him, and his bedroom are the only source of security for the child, thanks to them he feels protected. His discomfort is never understood by those around him, especially by the mother, who thinks it’s just a childish whim. Matteo actually decided to hide behind this disguise to escape the person who scares him: the school principal, who sexually abuses him. Matteo doesn’t have the courage to tell anyone about that situation, nor to avoid the traps of the teacher. He becomes a helpless victim and the torment experienced forces to close more and more into himself. The only hope is right in his hero, that is for him a winning model of the weaker against those who try to overpower him. It’s during a wrestling match in which The Tiger conquers another victory that finally in Matteo something snaps, that courage that until then he had missed. With a strength and determination that never seemed to possess, he manages to beat the rapist, and when he finally gets rid of this burden, he is finally able to pull the mask off and come back again to light. The theme is much delicate, and the way the film addresses it is really touching: there are many cause for reflection and the end of the story leaves you speechless, thanks to the parallels between the victory of the wrestler and the child one.
