Nacogdoches Film Festival

Nacogdoches Film Festival

Type: Dedicated shortfilm festival
Location: Nacogdoches,
Start Month: February

Description

Directors Samuel D. Pollard and Al Reinert will be presenting their documentaries “Two Trains Runnin'” and “For All Mankind.” Check back for more featured guests!
In 2016, we had Charlaine Harris, author of “True Blood,” as our special guest, and in 2015, George R. R. Martin, author of “Game of Thrones.”
We’re bringing independent films and filmmakers to East Texas. There will be panels on cinematography, entertainment law, directing, and producing during the day and Texas Independent films at night.
With filmmakers including Derek Wayne Johnson (Broken Blood), Eric Hueber (Flutter), and writers like Joe Lansdale and his son Keith Lansdale (Bubba Hotep, Christmas with the Dead, and Cold in July), we’re a film festival “off the beaten path” in Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas.
