A film festival focussing on the complexity of human relationships set in Shakespeare’s city of love Verona, Italy. Does it get any better than this?

The Verona International Film Festival presents films which revolve around relationships in their different forms whether spiritual, physical, interpersonal, familial, and humanitarian and can even touch upon relationships between nations and political parties. Films can tackle the complexity, ever-changing dynamics, adversity, and multi-faceted aspects pertaining to these different types of relationships. Based in Verona and Venice (Italy) the festival aims to screen dozens of feature and short films.


Submission Requirements:

The Verona International Film Festival accept all forms and genres. All non-English language films must be subtitled in English. Entry does not guarantee acceptance into the festival. Submissions WILL NOT be returned. We also accept submissions that have premiered elsewhere and that may have distribution agreements already in place. Rough cuts and incomplete projects are not accepted. Multiple entries are allowed, however a separate entry form must be submitted for each. The festival has the capability to screen BluRay and DVD.

The 2017 selection will be announced on August 7, 2017.

The Verona International Film Festival is divided in an online ‘official selection’ of films and the award winning films which will be screened during and in association with the Venice Film Week.

The selected films will compete for the following awards:

Best Feature Film
cash award of 250 Euros

Best Short Film
cash award of 100 Euros

Best Narrative Feature Film
Best Documentary Feature Film
Best Animated Feature Film
Best Narrative Short Film
Best Documentary Short Film
Best Animated Short Film
Best Experimental Film

Awards / Prizes:
