Arne loses an arm in an accident, but miraculously a new arm appears. This new arm’s got a will of its own and turns his life upside down. Void is replaced with joy, but miracles have a price.
A(r)men is an absurd short exploring the undertones of existentialism in life, with a quite joyful look at the main character Arne. The film takes place in a strange universe, where a disaster is followed by an unexpected consequence. Arne’s life turns upside down when he loses his arm in a catastrophic accident. His new situation is filled with both emptiness and loss. Miraculously, life takes an unexpected turn when a new arm grows out. Void is replaced with joy and hope. His new arm could be a sign from higher powers. But miracles have a price. The arm seems to have a will on its own and makes a total mess out of Arne’s routine life. Eventually he is forced to make a fateful choice.
